The forthcoming interview between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry with Oprah Winfrey, according to royal expert and author Dylan Howard, would ruin the friendship between Prince Charles’ sons.
While commenting on the teaser clip of the interview, the author of Royals at War said, “It’s almost like Prince Harry is driving a wedge through his relationship with Prince William with a sledgehammer.”
Meghan had previously stated that she had conducted an in-depth interview with U. Oprah Winfrey’s talk show will air on Sunday because she is now able to speak for herself, saying that becoming a royal is “not what people expect.”
In January of last year, Meghan, 39, and her husband, Prince Harry, Queen Elizabeth’s grandson, shocked the royal family by announcing their intention to leave their official royal roles and start a new life in California.
The couple’s divorce was announced last month, and in the last week, the couple and Buckingham Palace have been locked in a verbal battle over allegations of lies, intimidation, and smears.
Meghan, a former American actress, told Winfrey, “I’m ready to talk,” in an excerpt broadcast on CBS on Friday ahead of Sunday’s broadcast, as she explained why she agreed to the interview.
“It’s very liberating to be able to have the right and privilege in certain respects to be able to say yes as an adult who has lived a very independent life to then go through this construct that is different than I think what people expect it to be.”
In May of 2018, Harry and Meghan married, making them global celebrities who combine British royalty with Hollywood glitz.
