Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez split up a few days ago, despite the fact that the couple revealed it publicly on April 15. “Once her confidence is lost, there’s no going back,” a source close to her explains.
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have called off their engagement after a month of trying to make things work.
On Thursday, April 15, Diginews Live obtained the couple’s response, which read, “We’ve realised that we’re better as partners, and we plan to stay that way… We’ll continue to collaborate and encourage one another on our joint ventures and initiatives.”
Last month, reports circulated that J.Lo and A.Rod were breaking up after months of fighting and losing faith in each other. “We are working through certain things,” the couple said in a statement at the time, indicating that their relationship was far from over. To try to make amends, the former Yankees player flew to the Dominican Republic, where Jennifer was filming her upcoming film.
However, it did not work out for them in the end. Jennifer, 51, and Alex, 45, broke up a few days ago, and a source close to the couple exclusively tells Diginews that Jennifer is “at ease” with the breakup.
So, what happened when they officially pulled the plug after weeks of attempting to repair the fence?
According to a second source close to the “Ain’t Your Mama” artist, A.Rod was aware of the impending breakup because J.Lo “hasn’t been happy for awhile now.”
The storey of the second insider continues “There’s no going back once her loyalty is betrayed. She is satisfied with her decision because she knows A.Rod will remain in her life, but in a different capacity.”
According to the second source, the exes are now “very cordial,” and they want to remain friends. They have a shared investment in a few business projects, which will hold them in touch. (They purchased a shared home in Encino, Calif., in July and sold their Malibu beach house in September 2020, according to Variety.) According to Business Insider, they spent $33 million on a Miami mansion in the same month.
The Hustlers actress, on the other hand, has no plans to see A.Rod at this time and will be staying in Los Angeles for a while, according to the same report.
Despite Jennifer’s decision to call things off for good, it seems Alex is still hopeful that they can make it work.
“Right now, he’s honouring her wishes,” a third source close to J.Lo says, “but he has high hopes they’ll get back together.” “He’s doing everything he can to make J.Lo happy,” says the source.
Over the last few weeks, the baseball pro has continued to court her, even during a trip to the Dominican Republic in March. Another source told Diginews.Live at the time, “He flew out to be with her to show her that he is serious. They have no idea what will happen. It would be disastrous for everyone involved to untangle their lives, business affairs, and families.”
The pair was later seen in the tropics, packing their PDA on their balcony. “Jennifer is still in love with Alex, despite all of her past frustrations with the relationship,” a source said at the time.
Alex and Jennifer began dating in 2017 and were married in 2019 with a beautiful $1 million ring.
The stars grew attached to their significant other’s children over the course of their four-year relationship. They specifically stated in today’s statement that they “wish the best for each other and each other’s children.”
Jennifer and her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, have 13-year-old twins Emme and Max Muiz. Alex, on the other hand, welcomed daughters Natasha, 16, and Ella Rodriguez, 12, with Cynthia Scurtis, his ex-wife.
